Company History

In 1979, Francis L. Cooke started F.L. Cooke & Sons, working out of small garages in the Westminster, Maryland area, primarily renting barricades and repairing small equipment. The business finally settled in at its present location at 110–D Airport Drive in Westminster, originally operating in a 5,000 sq. ft. building and expanding over the years to 15,000 sq. ft.

Francis (Frank, Sr.) passed away in October of 1995. The business continued its operation under the direction of his two sons, Frank, Jr. and Mike. The company has grown over the past several years, still selling and renting barricades, traffic drums, cones and other traffic control supplies. However, F.L. Cooke and Sons’ primary focus is manufacturing signs and setting up and maintaining traffic control work zones.
